“Breaking the Filter - Media Literacy for a Global Perspective”

Erasmus + project KA210-SCH - Small-scale partnerships in school education (KA210-SCH)Introduceți subtitlul aici

The project aims to strengthen media literacy among students and teachers in Romania, Serbia, and Turkey by developing critical thinking skills, encouraging responsible media consumption, and addressing disinformation. Through innovative teaching methods, it seeks to create a more engaging and supportive learning environment that enhances students' overall wellbeing at school.

Media Literacy

Given the rapid spread of disinformation and its profound impact on young people, this project is not just an educational initiative but a necessity. It seeks to equip students and teachers with the skills to critically analyze media, promote digital well-being, and foster democratic values such as freedom of speech, truth, and civic responsibility.

Studies show that young people spend an average of over 4-5 hours a day online, being exposed to a huge volume of information, much of which is inaccurate or manipulative. In the absence of strong critical analysis skills, this can affect their ability to learn effectively, make informed decisions and even maintain emotional well-being. Through this project, students will learn to navigate the online environment responsibly and develop their digital resilience.
